The last year was a great challenge for Let's Read. School dates and terms were changed twice following the Covid epidemic and funds were delayed.
However, thanks to our team in Ghana schools have managed to keep going despite all the problems. Four of us travelled to Ghana last October for our first visit for four years. It was great to be back!
See our Blog page for a report on our visit.

About Let's Read
The main aim of Let's Read is to improve the quality of teaching and learning in literacy in the schools
We do this by encouraging a more active teaching style which leads to more effective learning for children
We run workshops for teachers and work with them in schools to model good teaching. We assess children's progress during and at the end of the school year. We are gradually training the teachers to take over the responsibility for assessing progress themselves and to see assessment as a tool to improve their teaching.
